Some of my students from last year might remember my infatuation with creating word clouds using Wordle. There are so many educational possibilities for this type of organization and classification. Last week in class, I asked my 8th grade students to write down individual lists of things they were looking forward to this year, and things they were nervous about.
I’m so excited to learn and share with these new students! Be sure to check back often to share in our adventures!

These were def. interesting . . . why are some eighth graders worrying about dying?! Seems to me that we gotta long ways to go before thinking about that.

I think that the Wordle pictures that we did were pretty cool because if there is more than one word that is the same it will show up larger than the rest.

I think you’re saying you like the color of the “Excited About” word cloud, but what do you mean I can do better? Do you mean by making it more colorful, or making different word choices? Just curious!

Hi Karl! I think you’re saying that even though the second word cloud isn’t in color, you still think it has detail. Is that correct?
