For those of you who think we teachers live at school, here’s evidence that we don’t! I’ll admit, I’ve been in my classroom far too late at night or far too early (say those mornings when an unexpected sick child warrants a day at home with Mama), but when I’m not in my home-away-from-home, I like to kick back and relax.
Today’s Picture Fall assignment was to share a shot of our favorite spot. Now, if the truth be told, this is my favorite spot – I love everything about my big comfy chair in the corner, the old fireplace (too bad it doesn’t work), and the basket of magazines and yarn since I recently remembered how much I enjoy knitting. But guess what? While I think about this space, and love it, I very rarely use it. Weird, I know! More often than not, you can find me sitting cross-legged on the middle cushion of my rather uncomfortable couch, typing away on my laptop.
I’m hoping to make a better effort to unplug, disconnect and dive head first into the comfort that lies just around the corner. How about you? Where’s you’re favorite, most comfortable spot?
