My students can definitely attest to my affinity for all things coffee! I often joke that I take a little coffee with my French Vanilla Creamer – I’m trying desperately to break that habit! Today’s invitation was to find something in our kitchen that brings us joy. Being the only real coffee drinker in the house, it’s my responsibility privilege to prepare the grounds and add the water each evening, though Mr. Cornwell certainly has made his fair share of please-make-my-coffee-or-else-I’m-gonna-scream pots just in the nick of time!
In any case, I prepare the coffee and set the timer, and each morning I love the fact that there’s fresh hot coffee ready for me the moment I’m prepared to face the day. It’s just not the same when I have to make it in the morning.
What about you – is there something you do that brightens your day or somehow makes your morning that much smoother? Also, for my student readers out there, what do you think about the strike through on the word “responsibility” – do you understand the intended effect? Do you like it? Hate it? Appreciate it? I often find myself thinking with many strike throughs in my mind. I wonder what you would do if you were assigned decided to use this in a post of your own?
This picture is great because my mom and her two sisters need their coffee in the morning too!
my mom loves coffee if she didn’t have a cup she would freak out!
