What a great week it’s been! With the welcome rest of a snow day on Monday, we were still able to wrap up our units and enjoy a little holiday spirit as well in my classes this week. Here’s my bit of unexpected joy for the week ~
As I eagerly await to moments I will share with friends and family during the holidays, I am humbled and amazed at the generosity shown by students who raised over 3,000 for Pennies for Patients.
Bonnie shares some inspiration~
I have been back to writing into the morning again this month on my blog and I’ve been loving it. A fresh photo and text and I’m surprised that I love it so much more than I thought I would, especially revisiting old spots and taking fresh photos…always something new in the familiar.
Kevin contributes some tenderness ~
The simple unexpected gift of the week: a huge hug from my six year old as soon as I entered the house, as I was suffering with a headache and needing some quiet comfort.
Anne offers some summer warmth ~
As we have just started our 5 week summer break from school, I recieved an unexpected gift from my family – a gorgeous black cocker spaniel puppy who will replace our old faithful family dog who died recently. I love this time of year for giving and sharing and the unexpected makes it even more special.
Last week I was slowed down by an unexpected earache, which although painful, forced me to slow down and do less, something I’m prone to deny myself – actually not such a bad way to begin a much needed vacation!
This is a really pretty picture. It’s cool.
