I love reaching the end of a long day, one I admittedly feared might in fact do me in, and feeling excited, refreshed and rejuvenated. Sure, there are still a million things I have yet to finish – papers to score, grades to enter, books to read, laundry to fold, and kids to cuddle – yet the few hours I spent totally immersed in great conversation were a gift.
To the teachers I shared, laughed and learned with tonight, to my brother and sister-in-law who helped me think through a wide variety of topics, to my favorite stylist who I know will offer bits of wisdom at my late-night appointment…I’m grateful for the opportunity to think and wonder, share and grow…
This post was written as part of a monthly challenge sponsored by Two Writing Teachers, to encourage writing and community. The goal is to write a Slice of Life entry each day throughout the month of March.
I had a day like that too – and I’m so wound up and refreshed that I’m sitting here reading blogs – it’s a way to continue the energy of conversation!
