The day stretches
before me
full of promise
and productivity.

The work looms
above me
undone
and
uncertainty

The sunlight streams
around me
full of hope
and happiness.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this. If this poem were a reflection of my real life, the second and third stanzas would be reversed…as the work is still undone. Sometimes, it’s the power of words to change reality that I find so ridiculously appealing.
