I’ve spent the past hour, at least, looking through draft posts that, for whatever reason, were never published. Some didn’t need any tweaking, I just clicked the little blue button. Otherwise, I finished in the best way I can believe I intended them to be finished. It’s funny because of the handful I read and wrapped up, there was such a range of emotions. Some were raw, others attempted to find encouragement through hard times, and a couple were filled with excitement and joy.
As a participant in this challenge, I already support the idea of idea of these little slices adding up to a great whole. But today, looking back, that idea has never been clearer. Life is messy and complicated and filled with ups and downs. Yet it’s the darkest hours that make the light that much brighter. If we only share the good and gloss over the bad and never dare to confront the ugly, we’re missing out.
If you’re up for it, take a peek at your own drafts and see what gems are waiting there to be {re}discovered!
“She understands now what she, in all her worry, had forgotten. That even as she hesitates and wavers, even as she thinks too much and moves too cautiously, she doesn’t always have to get it right. It’s okay to look back, even as you move forward.”
