Saturday ~ SOLSC ~ 14/31

Ever have one of those days, when it’s both exactly what you hope it will be and simultaneously not quite right.   Like a sweater that was so perfect you bought it, but now, that’s here, it’s on you, there’s an itchiness, a discomfort that you hadn’t noticed before?

That’s a bit like today.

This day was fantastic in so many ways.  A relaxing cup of coffee and quiet time this morning, following by a good workout with my mini-me who was particularly adorable in the way she was shadowing my every move.  I was even down 5lbs this morning!  What could be better than that right?  When I look at the list of all we did today, it adds up to a fantastic day of togetherness and productivity:

Ultimate Pi-Day appreciated,
bills paid,
legos built,
groceries purchased,
family appreciated,
paint supplies gathered,
bench hauled and first-coated,
bikes ridden,
dinner prepared,
stories read,
church cleaned,
post typed

Perhaps my mood matched the cool grayness of the day outside, a change compared to the welcome warmth and sun of this past week.  Maybe it was the fact that my post from yesterday was late…again.  I love this challenge, this writing, this reflecting.  It’s provided so much over the years.  Yet, the disappointment I feel when I miss a deadline or fall behind, it’s a heaviness that’s hard to describe.

Whatever the cause, I look forward to a new day, a fresh start, a more positive energy from within.  Tonight, I’ll slide this ill-fitting sweater over my head and pray that a change in attitude and perspective is as easy a change to make!

Sounds like a good day, but I know the feelimg you described. Hope you’re still able to enjoy this day for what it was and begin tomorrow with a smile!
