SOLSC ~ 25/31 ~ Simple Changes

We walked in the door and the mid-afternoon sun was casting long golden shadows through the vertical blinds. It had been a busy afternoon despite only two stops, and Garth was ready to take his medicine and have a good nap.

The kids and I set out to find some semblance of cleanliness after our week of hustling from school to meetings, and trying to take good care of our sick hero.

In the flurry of cleaning, I – once again – had the bright idea to make a slight change in our living room set-up. I was considering our upcoming family movie night, so I moved the coffee table against the wall leaving a wide, open area where I imagined we would pile blankets and cuddle.

When Seneca saw it, she squealed! “I love it like this Mom! It perfect! I can finally do cartwheels in the house.

And cartwheel she did – back and forth. It’s amazing how such a simple change can produce such a perfect response!

I love the feeling of clean house and new furniture configurations. Even when your furniture isn’t new, it feels new and like you have a fresh start.

Your post made me think about small changes in life. What if we made one small change each day? I wonder what would happen. I think I may just give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration!
